Wow, what a moment… my first Trinity Term ever!

And so the last term of the year has started.  I arrived yesterday evening, with travelling actually going better than expected given my past experiences (although I was sitting beside some pretty weird people on the train).  On arrival at Keble I found that Parcelforce had neglected to deliver the box on time (although they decided at 6am the next morning that they’d just love to send it to Keble).  So I got all my stuff that I brought with me on the plane unpacked and marvelled at the padded backs on my sofa (yes, it’s not just a metal bar / shredded mess any more!) and at the ridiculously fast internet connection here (yay also).  I went shopping and got some food, and afterwards I somehow had a pretty late night, even though I wasn’t actually doing… well… anything.

On Tuesday I awoke, worked on some analysis vac work and watched 24.  (I also watched Heroes later in the day: 24 has gone uphill in terms of quality.  Heroes?  Way, way downhill.)  Went into town to do a bit more shopping and get a bit more food.  (Healthy, I promise!)  Back at Keble, I lugged the 25kg box from the lodge to my staircase, and up 7 flights of stairs.  (To be fair, I had help.)  However, I managed the 3 boxes up from THE VOID(s) by myself, after which my back hurt lots.  So I got unpacked, then realised it was 6pm.  That’s 5 hours of unpacking / various faffing around!  In the evening time of today I finished off analysis and did a bit of GRF – should hopefully finish that tomorrow too.  Hmm, Oxford does seem to instill some kind of work-madly-hard ethic.
