Year 1, Term 1, Week 2: Problem sheets? :(
Lectures, tutorials, problem sheets… when will it end? Not for another four years anyway.
Weekdays are never fun – be it the three hour-long lectures in a row on Tuesday and Friday morning, or the 9am start on Wednesdays. With every module tutor giving us a problem sheet to do, it felt a bit overwhelming… which is why we decided to take the entire of Saturday off and go to Thorpe Theme Park to take our mind off things! Lots of photos on Facebook if you check out Ben Case’s profile, but we just had to buy this one of us going on the Logger’s Leap ride – honestly, we didn’t think we’d get that wet…

…but we did. At least Kim (at the front) decided to keep part of me dry by taking the full force of the water. 
Also at Thorpe I came across the best thing in the world:
Rhubarb and custard sweets. You can’t get them anywhere… but they’re so good. There was a whole box of them in the Pick ‘n’ Mix section, and I was planning on buying £5 worth on the way out. However… some other wily people decided to buy virtually all of the sweets in the shop, including mine! Grr…
On a lighter and better note, Spooks is starting again on Monday / Tuesday night! Awesome show, plot, characters, suspense. Check it out.
Few other things of note this week… Keble decided to do their fire drill, not at 4am like was expected, but at 8am on Wednesday morning. On the day that I decided to get up and have a shower. Grrrrrr. At least I was just about finished, had to attempt to dry myself off in about 10 seconds and then descend the 7 flights of stairs down to the quad where we had assembled in pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers. And one guy who was in some kind of Hawaiian shorts with no top on – for some reason he didn’t look cold at all.
